What is Dental Health Week? Dental Health Week is the major, annual oral health campaign, that we have in Australia promoted by the Australian Dental Association (ADA).

Althought this year, the event will last for the entire month of August 2020, the campaign run is during the first week of August, from the 3rd to the 9th.

The objective is to bring awareness to all Aussies about the importance of maintaining good oral health in every aspect of their lives.

This year's campaign, called “How Much Sugar is Hiding in Your Trolley”, aims to alert Australians about the indiscriminate consumption of sugar and its impact on dental health.

No matter how much sugar is in your cart,
you can draw a line under it by reading food labels to make healthy choices!

ADA is making available on social media and on their website, many fact-sheets, articles and infographics explalining the effects of sugar on teeth, as well as advice to read food labels, the proper daily cleaning of your teeth and of course, the importance of regular visits to the dentist.
To support the Dental Health Week 2020, we put together some more information that can help you to prevent the most common dental problems, improve your smile and become a healthier and happier you!
